Molecular design to maximize the functions of enzymes and other molecules, and the implementation of the developed molecules in society.
To realize the bioeconomy society, a sustainable, renewable, recycling-oriented economy with biotechnology, there is a need to develop technologies to freely manipulate enzymes that catalyze the production and conversion of substances in biotechnology and also related molecules that control enzyme functions.
Our research group is promoting molecular design to enhance the functions of enzymes and other proteins, as well as the development of technologies for efficient production of these molecules. We aim to implement the results of our research into society through collaboration with companies and other organizations, utilizing the know-how we have accumulated through conducting research targeting a wide variety of enzymes.
