We focus on elaborte microbial symbioses in diverse insects, and related phenomena involving sophisticated inter-organismal interactions such as parasitism, reproductive manipulation, morphological manipulation and sociality, encompassing evolution, diversity, ecological interactions, physiological functions, molecular mechanisms, and experimental evolution.
