Neurodegeneration begins to occur in the brain more than 20 years before the onset of dementia. It is therefore important to establish preventive methods, such as the intake of functional foods, and methods for the early detection of neurodegeneration. I am involved in research that can contribute to solving the problems of an ageing society.
