We analyze interactions between microorganisms and between plants and microorganisms by physiological, genetic, omics, and molecular ecological methods to elucidate changes in physiological, ecological, and evolutionary behavior (evolution of drug resistance, predator-prey dynamics, etc.) caused by interactions. We are also developing new crop production increase and disease control technologies that utilize plant growth promoting and disease suppressing effects.
