Control of microorganisms by phage
Research Keywords
Wastewater treatment, Microorganisms that is difficult to culture, Phage
Application Fields
Wastewater treatment, Biofunctional applications
Skills
Cultivation, Single cell level observation, Phage rebooting, Methagenomics

In wastewater treatment processes, various microorganisms are difficult to culture and their characteristics are unknown. My aim is to understand the new functions of these microorganisms using genome analysis and cultivation to control them. I am also working on microbial control using phages that infect microorganisms.
