The bending part of hard wood trees like poplar and phloem fiber of fiber crops like flax produce cellulose-enriched special fiber but the molecular mechanism to regulate their formation is not well understood. We have developed a new database “FIBex” which allows you to find common important genes from poplar and flax using an Arabidopsis gene as a hub. Details should be browsed from here.
